In 2016, I had the honor of working as a staff member for the National Veterans Art Museum on the "Above and Beyond" Vietnam War Memorial. The installation consists of over 58,000 dog tags suspended together in remembrance of the Vietnam War fatalities.
My contributions to the project included: photography; fundraising; social media promotion; design of lightbox signs, posters, and other print materials; documentation of the installation and opening; as well as cleaning and inventorying the individual dog tags.
The memorial opened on February 20, 2016 at the Harold Washington Library Center in Chicago. Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient Al Lynch was among the speakers at the unveiling ceremony.
